Eric Sauer has been growing orchids for over 20 years. He was heavily infected by the incurable orchid fever while studying Landscape Architecture at Ball State University. Eric has traveled extensively including a trip to Ecuador to see many orchids in their native habitats. Eric has been blessed with over 60 awards from the American Orchid Society and enjoys growing and breeding plants in the greenhouse. Eric is also a principal of Cypripedium Landscape Architecture Studios a full service landscape architecture and planning firm in Dayton, Ohio.
Lexie Sauer has been around orchids her entire life and has been the assistant grower at River Valley Orchids for nearly 8 years. Her interests include Tolumnia and any other orchid she can convince her dad to buy at one of the many orchid shows. Lexie has several orchids named for her and is working towards her first AOS award, but has received numerous ribbons at local shows. Lexie is currently a fifth grader at Dayton Christian Schools in Dayton, Ohio. |
